I don't know where to start because this all feels so surreal. I cannot believe that ONE WHOLE YEAR has passed since I started this project. That was such a fast year! If you're just now tuning in to this project of mine, I'll fill you in real quick. Back in the first week of January of this year I decided to challenge myself and start a weekly self-portrait project. So each week during the year I'd have to create at least one new self-portrait. Seems easy enough, right?
Well, me deciding to start a personal photography project is nothing new. Over the course of my photography career I've started many personal projects and they have all gone unfinished. But this year I was determined to complete a photography project. And you wanna know what, it was so dang worth it to see it through. I have learned sooooo much about myself over the past year. I have also found that creating for myself each week is a very healing and for the most part a very meditative process. I now find myself craving to create self-portraits.
I've put my heart and soul into creating these and I truly hope you enjoy them as much as I have enjoyed creating them. I'll be starting a new weekly self-portrait project come this new year, so you'll still see my face around. Happy New Year! Cheers to 2020!
P.S. If you ever find yourself in a creative rut or you need inspiration, start a personal project. Create for yourself, you won't regret it!

Wishing sweet Mister Trace the happiest of birthdays! I cannot believe that one whole year has passed since he was born! I remember walking the hospital halls to meet him just like it was yesterday. ❤
In honor of his first birthday, I'm sharing some of my favorite images from his Fresh 48 session.
